Annual Report 2024

Confidence is the engine that drives us forward, even when circumstances are challenging. Despite the uncertainty amplified by elections in Austria and the United States, as well as the difficult economic conditions marked by a high budget deficit and rising staff and energy costs, we succeeded in finding innovative solutions and pursuing a clear vision. This annual report is a testament to that confidence and our collective commitment. It provides insight into the key topics and developments of the past yeaR:

New Factsheet: Digital Skills and Competences in Local Governments

Local digital transformation is key to economic growth and speeding up EU integration for the Western Balkans and Moldova. The new factsheet examines the central role of digital skills in shaping inclusive and sustainable communities and provides concrete recommendations for their development and implementation. It is based on the study ‘Empowering Progress with Digital Transition in Western Balkan and Moldova Local Governments’, which was developed as part of the BACID III project (Building Administrative Capacities in the Danube Region) and supported by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) with funds from the Austrian Development Cooperation.
